Today, I have plans.
I plan to quit my job, make/buy a Halloween costume, and Go to therapy. Somewhere along the line, I need to prioritize here. My mom has made it clear that she is quite unhappy with my decision to quit my job, but at the same time, I need to put my education first. Also, the socializing is getting in the way of my schoolwork. Pah, what a pain in the ass. But either way, that's alright. So i take this sociology class and a choir class. In both, there's this one classmate who has a very condescending manner about her that gets absolutely unbearable. A good smack in the face would do some good with her. She has the tendency to make unnecessary and rude comments that make toher feel bad, so she can boost her self-esteem. What a bad way to help your self-esteem. Maybe she should try doing good for herself or being nice to people so they can volunteer a self-esteem boosting compliment as opposed to accentuating their flaws for the sake of a self-esteem boost. Also, her self-righteous and arrogant nature will not necessarily help her. Sure, backstabbing is unfortunately evident in advancement in the business world, but she'll be in for a wake up call see that people really don't care if "you have experience" and "you are talented". People ni the real world need others to follow directions, cooperate, and contribute their talents to support their peers, as opposed to strictly shameless competition. I feel pity on those who feel that they don't need the help or influence of others and that sheer competition will make them successful. As it may help them to financial success, how fulfilling is that really?
I must say though, on a lighter note, Condescention (sp?) is sometimes the result of miscommunication or insecurity.
Clarification is awesome for clearing that up... or confirming the rudeness of another thus digging them deeper into a bottomless pit. who knows?
I feel that my posts should maybe take an upward direction....
On that note, I think I shall recommend songs for you to listen to
"Chicago" by Sufjan Stevens (Thanks to Louis)
"Dirty Business" by the Dresden Dolls
"Trolley Wood" by Eisley.
all good stuff. None relevant to each other. if you like one, I can't say you'll like the others.
=D
Anyway, Enough of my rambling here.
